Another new job coming soon!

So excited! I was told today that I will be coaching the 7th grade softball team at a middle school nearby.  It's literally less than a mile from our new house. :) I couldn't be more excited to begin this new job! I had the opportunity to be one of the Assitant Coaches at the JC up in Humboldt where I used to live about two years ago and I truly enjoyed it so much so why not try being Head Coach at a middle school! haha I was hesitant at first but I thought about it and I seriously miss it so much and it'll definitely be a great opportunity to get my butt back in shape! ;) So many new things going on in my life and I am just trying to keep my head on straight. haha but I do have to say that I have such a wonderful husband and he is very supportive in everything I do.  Especially now a days when so much is changing and I am in transition from just school and waitressing to no school, get a real job! haha

Here's a throwback picture when we won Division 2 Nationals in Texas.
 Boy I miss those days.

New house, new job! Welcome 2013!

Wow Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I'm back!

Since my last blog sooooo much has been going on.  We moved in to our new house finally and boy was it a lot of work! Well my husband did a lot of the work. ;) He's such a great handy man, I just love him. Anyways, I'll just show you with pictures all that has been going on!

At last we are in and living. :) Still have a bunch of boxes in the garage but those can wait.  Lots of decorating coming.  I could just fill the whole house up this weekend with decor but I want the house to evolve and I want to make sure my husband and I love every piece we put in our home.  The pups had a rough first night and barked and paced what felt like all night long.  They are still getting used to all the different noises. Our neighbors are pretty awesome and I feel very blessed to have them around.  Nothing like a great house and great neighbors!

Okay enough about the house!  I began substituting and I am loving it! I have been doing K-8 and let me tell ya kindergarten isn't much different than 8th grade. haha When I was scheduled to do 8th grade English I was going to hit the fan and I thought oh man they are going to walk all over me.  But honestly, they aren't as bad as people make them out to be.  The maturity level of 11-13 year olds are priceless.  I can't help but laugh all day at the things that come out of their mouths.

OH!!! and one more thing! I began a Home Management Binder! I know this post is long but hang in there! ;) This binder includes everything from finance, to home, to cleaning, and check-off list. Next post I do will be about that binder! ;) I took ideas from other blogs I follow and created one that fits mine and my husbands lifestyle.  So come back and check it out!

1 bedroom down...2 more to go!

Okay I got the master bedroom done, and let me tell you it was no easy job! Oh ya I'll paint my bedroom, no big deal! ha was  I wrong.  Most of the angles in my room were 45 degrees so taping off and making straight lines was near to impossible.  And the fact that my room is not a square/rectangle shape and had about ten different walls to paint. Anwyays here is some pictures of the fun activities that took place these past 24 hours.

 Before...

 After!
I used a medium/dark grey color that has a tint of brown since our carpet WILL be a brown color.

I then painted alllll the other walls a light grey. I can't stand white in the bedroom so that had to go! :) Also the wall that you can barely see with the door will be dark/light grey stripes.  (whenever I get around to that)

I need to take a after picture of the whole bathroom. :/

This was the hardest part.  That top corner! I had to do something very unsafe to get it done. It was driving me nuts having just a  six inch part not painted! and plus I couldn't fit our huge later in the shower.  I know you can kinda tell but really who else is going to see other other than my husband and I?

Okie dokie I am off to the parents house tomorrow bright and early to celebrate the holidays! I haven't seen them since the wedding, so almost 3 months! I'm so excited! Okay hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'll be back after the New Year!

and it begins! :)

Woah and a woah! The demo has begun! Here are some before pictures I quickly took.  I can't wait to share with you all when its all done! As you can tell by the pictures this house was definitely from the 80s with the linoleum pink throw up kitchen floors and blue carpet. But this house has so much character and I am just soooooo excited to reach the final product. Bryant and I have been working hard together creating our home. Granite and tile in the kitchen is finished.  Next up is tile in the entry way, paint and carpets! :)  Going to home depot to pick out paint for inside the house and for our Master bedroom! Really wish my Mom and sister could be here to help me but I know if they could be here they would be here in an instant. But my Mom and Dad are going to come up the day after Christmas to help us hopefully help us move in! Gottah love them! :)

I have never had to pack up an entire house and move so this should be interesting. In my past 5 years I have had to move...lets see... 5 times! I should be good at this right? ERRRR! wrong! really I was just moving my bedroom from apartment to apartment up in Humboldt when I went to college.  This is a whole new ball game for me! Right now I have no dishwasher, no microwave, and boxes are already starting to pile up. and this is just the beginning. ;)

The kitchen before...

The kitchen in progress...just new granite...so pretty! :)

 Gottah love those blue floors!

Bitter Sweet

Today has been a pretty crazy and emotional day.  It was the last day of my student teaching.  I had to say goodbye to 32 beautiful and amazing children.  They have stolen my heart these past 16 weeks and it was so hard to say my goodbyes.  We had a great day today and took a ride on the Polar Express.  They drank hot coco on sleeping bags, watched the Polar Express, stuff stockings, and ate pancakes.

After this amazing last day I had gotten to share with my 32 beautiful kiddos I heard about the horrible news in Newton and all I could do was think about them.  I am overwhelmed with emotions and can't even imagine what those families are going through.  I don't understand how someone could be so sick in the mind to be capable of doing that to 20 innocent children who still had their whole lives ahead of them.  They were just babies and someone just took their lives right out of their hands.  I don't understand how someone could just be so evil.  This whole situation makes me feel so sad, angry, devastated, and lost.  All we can do now is just send as many prayers as we can to the Newton community, to the families that have lost such innocent little lives and brave teachers and adults. <3

I wish nothing but sweet sweet dreams to those who have been affected by today.

A New Adventure!

Welp! We got the keys to our new house! What a crazy feeling! A big adventure is ahead of us and I couldn't be more excited, nervous, overwhelmed, happy and most of all very blessed.  We went over to the house today to game plan what we want to do.  I couldn't be more excited and I have so many ideas for decorating, designing the beautiful place we will call home.  I will definitely be showing you all before and afters of everything that I do, so get ready for lots of pictures of diy projects!!! ;)

My Pinterest used to be full of all wedding ideas, then educational ideas, then came the holidays and now it will ALL be home decor and organization!  So sorry friends, that's all you will get from me! ;) What I great way to start the beginning of our new year together. In a clean, organized home, and new chapter in our life.

It's just crazy to me how fast time flies.  Once I graduated and moved out of my parents house I feel that these past 5 years went in a blink of an eye!  Sometimes I feel like I just am trying to keep up with life. But everyday I try to tell myself to soak it in as much as I can because that day, week, month, year will be over before you know it.

Speaking of life going by so quickly, I am saying goodbye to my kinders in t-minus 3 days.  16 weeks already just FLEW right by me.  It was a pretty amazing 16 weeks and I couldn't have been more blessed with such an amazing and inspirational mentor teacher and her team plus 32 of most adorable kids ever! ;)  They have taught me so much about being an educator and they really helped me realize that I am on the right path of where I want to be and I couldn't be more excited to get my own classroom in the future!

Okay tata for now! On to homework and bed! Lots of packing and planning tomorrow! <3

Oh and btw if you noticed, yes I am going to be a teacher, and yes I suck at grammar and spelling. Get over it. ;) you can't be good at everything!

Sweetdreams.

My very first blogpost!!!

Hi Everyone!!

So this is my first blog out of many to come!  I'll give you the long story short of my life.  I just recently got married(about 10 weeks ago!) to the love of my life whom I met in college.  I have one week left of student teaching and I will be done!  I have been in a kindergarten class with the most amazing and energetic kids who have stolen my heart and it will be bitter sweet when I say goodbye to them on Friday.  My husband and I just bought a house and should be getting the keys tomorrow! This year has been a total rollercoster but could not be excited for my future and what it has in store.  Between getting married, finishing school, and buying a house I'd say my year is just about done!

Some things that I love is Pinterest and Etsy.  Pinterest is evil sometimes and I never seem to get anything done some days because of that website.  I have pins that I have done that have turned out amazing! and some that have turned into "pintrosities!" I hope to share with you all my great crafts and my also not so great ones! ;)   I am new to Etsy and I am an instant addict.  I bought a lot of items for my wedding on there and now I have bought tons of gifts on there for the upcoming holidays! I will share as the days gone on some of the things I have bought and loved from Etsy.

I love to cook but I do have to admit I am still LEARNING! I have cooked up some pretty amazing dinners and not so great of dinners.  But I do have to say my husband is a champ and will eat anything I make for him and he always tells me its great! (but I know he's just saying that to make me feel good ;))  I will also share some dinners and deserts that I have cooked and baked up and give ya'll some recipes!

I couldn't be more excited for this blog and I am so happy I finally created it! I do have to say it was a little bit confusing and everything looked all mumble jumble but I did it! and I couldn't be more proud! :) That's all for tonight!
